Hague Ten Hour Training Program

As families who are considering adoption are now becoming more and more familiar with the term "Hague Compliance" it is our goal to assist all families in understanding how this may or may not affect them on their specific journey to find their child.  The United States began working under the guidelines of The Hague laws officially on April 1, 2008. In keeping with the expectations of The Hague and for the first time, a minimum of ten (10) hours of pre-placement adoption education for all prospective adoptive parents must be met. This ten hour requirement is independent of assessment purposes that would involve your social worker and the completion of your home study. This requirement must be separate from "assessment" and be part of "education and preparation". There are many ways this requirement can be met however, at the request of our families; we are providing as one option an online program that we feel is excellent.  After considerable research, we are happy to announce that we have chosen Adoption Education as our preferred provider for online courses. If you feel that this opportunity would best meet your needs, please click on the highlighted link above to visit and sign up for this program.
